African Talent Martin Magner

As part of 10 and 5’s Young South Africa series this they are showcasing young creative stand-outs. Last year Martin Gareth Magner along with his team mates Tanya De Jongh and Yannick Pian won a 2nd place Baby Student Pencil at the D&AD Student Awards and the Best Digital Students/Interns for the year of 2011 at the Bookmark awards for their project The Loft/Arjo Avenue.

Martin has received recognition again this year for his ‘Save the Date’ project which was shortlisted at the recent Clio awards in New York City.

Martin is a student at Red & Yellow in Cape Town and ‘Save the Date’ was a brief to create an interactive wedding invitation for two polar opposites. His answer to the brief is this fictitious wedding invitation for extreme opposites Anna Wintour – Editor in chief at Vogue and Mfume Vumba – A Massai warrior from the heart of the Serengeti.
