Njideka Akunyili

Njideka Akunyili, daughter of Dora Akinluyi, Nigeria’s Minister for information and Communication. She is a graduate of Yale university with her subject matter addressing the internal tension between her deep love for Nigeria, her country of birth, and her strong appreciation for Western culture.

I came across her work via out and about Africa and thought I had to share. One doesn’t see collage art often and the subject matter isn’t explored often. She expresses her love for her hubby in a unique style and it is always so exciting to see creativity from an unusual topic.
