Art Attack: Akeisha Walters

I came across Akeisha Walters via one of my favorite sites Nublack . She is a London-based fashion designer/artist. Having attended Westminster Kingsway college in 2008, she studied for a Btec National Diploma in Fashion and Art, graduating with a Distinction. Being at college led Akeisha to start her own brand, which she first developed September 2008. Throughout the years Akeisha developed her brand by participating in fashion shows in the local area and central London’s University of the Arts Bond street campus, building strong clientele and brand awareness. She also designed bespoke garments for upcoming music artists Floetic Lara and Mikel Ameen.

Akeisha’s work has a strong African influence I love. The simplicity in her work yet having a having a strong sense of identity and colour. She’s a great talent.
